Place of the Entrance to the Stomach — Shàng Wăn
This acupuncture point is used especially for all spastic stomach disorders. So, for example, for gastritis, but also for colic. It is the best point for suppressing rebellious stomach qi that rises. Stomach energy should normally flow downward when it is balanced.
When it becomes rebellious, symptoms such as hiccups, belching, nausea, vomiting or a feeling of fullness develop.
