Acupuncture Point LI 11

Toning point of the colon meridian

Curved Pond — Qū Chí

This acupuncture point can be used similarly to LI 04. The big difference is that LI 04 specifically has a reference to the facial area and head area, the LI 11 so does not have.

LI 11 is the toning point of the colon meridian and thus a potent point to strengthen the colon energy. This point has also proven very helpful for constipation and skin itching for no apparent reason.

Application:   How long should you press the acupuncture point? 45 seconds     How hard should you press the acupuncture point? vigorous
Name:
  • 曲池 (qū chí)
  • LI 11
  • Gekrümmter Teich
Effect from the point of view of TCM:
  • Repels external wind
  • Eliminates heat
  • Supports tendons and joints
  • Cools heat in the blood

None

When it comes to strengthening the immune system, it is important to think about the energy of the large intestine. The intestinal flora determines to a large extent how well our immune system functions. LI 11 is my favorite point about this.
