Acupuncture Point Lu 09

Tonifies Qi and Yin of the lungs

Great Abyss — Tài Yuān

This acupuncture point is used in TCM to tonify the lung qi, but also the thorax qi. This refers to the Qi of the heart and lungs. If someone has cold hands and a weak voice, one recognizes the weakness of this Qi and can with the two points Lu 09 and CV 17 strengthen them again.

Since the pulse palpation point is also seen as the confluence point of all blood vessels, the acupuncture point has Lu 09 has a special effect on all blood vessels and is therefore called the master point of blood vessels.
