The pericardium meridian, together with the Meridian triple burner the secondary fire element. The Fire element is generally associated with the summer. That is, the season when it is usually warm and everything in nature is in full bloom.
In us humans, too, the impulse to go out and enjoy life predominates. The pericardium meridian corresponds to the connective tissue-like covering of the heart, which is also called the pericardium and serves as protection for the heart.

Meridian yoga for balance of cardiovascular energy
In the following I would like to introduce you to ways in which you yourself can increase your energy and vitality. One way to do this is to balance the meridian energy. You can achieve this with the exercises of Meridian Yoga in a very simple way. The exercises bring you into a state of deep calm and relaxation.
Meridian Yoga
Mountain position and cobra for the pericardium meridian
With this meridian yoga exercise for the pericardium meridian, the whole course is specifically addressed, from the palm to the chest area. At the same time, the chest is opened.
Meridian Yoga
Inclined plane for the pericardium meridian
The inclined plane exercise builds strength and stamina on the one hand, and on the other, it brings the entire course of the pericardium meridian into a stretch. In this challenging position you can release tension and build strength.
Wolfgang's Pro Tip
Combine the two movement systems Meridian Yoga and Qi Gong and increase their effect. In the morning, when the body is still a bit stiff, you can start the day with 15 minutes of Qi Gong and get the energy you need. In the evening, you can let go of the day with 15 minutes of meridian yoga and regain your composure.
Qi Gong for balance of cardiovascular energy
Another very elegant and effective way to increase your personal energy comes from TCM. Qi Gong is a millennia-old art of movement, which is one of the 5 pillars of the Chinese medicine forms. The exercises are easy to learn and here I show you my favorite exercise to balance the cardiovascular energy.
Qi Gong Exercise
Share clouds
With the exercise "Sharing clouds" you balance your pericardium meridian in particular. Through the meditative and slow execution of the movement your mind (=Shen) calms down and with it your heart comes to rest.

Course of the pericardium meridian in detail
The pericardium meridian begins 1 cun beside the nipple in the fourth intercostal space and runs upward from here to the shoulder, to just above the armpit.
Here it runs along the edge of the pectoral muscle further to the upper arm. Now follow this centrally over the biceps, exactly between the two heads of the biceps in the direction of the hand.
Arriving at the elbow joint, the between the 2 palpable tendons (M flexor carpi radiales, M. palmaris longus) runs to the wrist.
2 cun in front of the wrist crease is the acupuncture point Pc 06 and is located directly at the intersection of the two tendons with the wrist crease Pc 07, an important acupuncture point for the psyche.
The pericardium meridian then passes centrally through the palm and seeks its way to the tip of the middle finger, where it ends with HK 09.
