A very important acupuncture point with wide spectrum of action. It can discharge heat from the bladder and is therefore used for burning during urination.
Since it clears the bladder meridian of blockages, it is used for lumbaralgias. It is used for all kinds of lower back problems, but it is more effective for acute problems than for chronic ones. It is used more for fullness symptoms.
